Behind the apparent idyll of this landscape painting is the highest water level \/ the storm tide of 1977, based on a family photo album by Anna E. Wilkens. The third picture (50 cm x 125 cm), on the other hand, depicts Nordstrandischmoor in the present. The ten individual parts of the picture represent the ten German Halligen Islands. The houses of the Hallig inhabitants are built on mounds, that's the name of the artificial mounds that protect the Hallig inhabitants from the rough sea (about 40 times a year the sea covers the Hallig). Thematically, I was attracted by this form of depiction because of the struggle, the defiance and finally the adaptation of the North Frisian islanders to nature. History: The \"Grote Mandr\u00e4nke\", a storm tide in 1362, is considered to be the birth of the Hallig, which devastated the rich coastal town of Rungholt and seven other communities, killed 7600 people and took large parts of the land with it. The first Halligen remain behind. In 1634 the second \"Grote Mandr\u00e4nke\" ravaged the old island \"Strand\": 6 000 people died, the horseshoe-shaped island was washed away, only some small areas remained.<\/p>\n<div><div Totter<\/div>\n<div class=\"su-spoiler-content su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\">\n<h3>Fotografie, Objekte<\/h3>\n<p>Ein Gedicht des isl\u00e4ndischen Dichters Einar Benediktsson beschreibt die Isl\u00e4nder als ein Volk \u201eohne Wurzeln\u201c: Bauern, die \u00fcber das Meer segeln mussten, um auf einer kargen Vulkaninsel eine Heimat zu finden, aus und mit dem Meer zu leben lernten. Der Erstbesiedler Islands, Ingolfur Arnarson, wirft seine Pfosten, Zeichen seiner H\u00e4uptlingsw\u00fcrde, im S\u00fcden der Insel ins Meer, als er Land am Horizont auftauchen sieht, damit die G\u00f6tter das Schiff dort an die K\u00fcste leiten w\u00fcrden, wo gesiedelt werden sollte. Seine Pfeiler werden in Totters Arbeit zu Stra\u00dfen-Leitpfosten s\u00e4kularisiert.<\/p>\n<p>Im US-Amerikanischen nennt man einen Menschen ohne Arbeit, Ehrgeiz oder Ziel Drifter. Er treibt, dem Zufall \u00fcberlassen, wie eine Boje in Wind und Gezeiten. Die Motive Wurzellosigkeit und Leben mit dem Meer, die Claninsignien als Leitpfosten und das Treiben des Drifters greift Alexander Totter in seiner Arbeit auf und integriert sie. So entstand das Projekt einer isl\u00e4ndischen Stra\u00dfe aus rot-gelben Leitpfosten aus Holz, die ins Meer f\u00fchrt, wo sie zu Bojen werden, die im Strom der Gezeiten treiben. Das Meer ist die Insel ist das Meer ist die Insel\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Driften ist positiv gesehen Kreativit\u00e4t, Improvisation, Akzeptanz nat\u00fcrlicher Gegebenheiten und nicht politisch\/wirtschaftlicher Strukturen, die die einen einrichten, um die anderen auszubeuten. Der Komplex Vorsehung, Schicksal, Vertrauen, Zuversicht, der sich im Verhalten der Wikinger im 9. Jahrhundert ausdr\u00fcckt, scheint uns v\u00f6llig abhanden gekommen zu sein, ist aber wichtiger denn je und hat Alexander Totter zu mehreren Arbeiten im Bereich Orientierung, Kommunikationsqualit\u00e4t und Entschleunigung gef\u00fchrt; Entschleunigung, indem die Pf\u00e4hle als Wegmarkierungen in unwegsamem Gel\u00e4nde stehen, es ist unbefahrbar und kann nur m\u00fchsam erlaufen werden.<\/p>\n<p>Vorl\u00e4ufiges Arbeitsergebnis: sich treiben lassen und die Insel taucht von selbst am Horizont auf.<\/p>\n<p>In der Ausstellung in Mannheim wurden Fotos von der Drift-Installation auf Island gezeigt, sowohl von langen Reihen von Pf\u00e4hlen an Land wie Bojen im Wasser. Mehrere Pf\u00e4hle und eine Boje waren Ausstellungsobjekte: \u201eBojen als Sehnsuchtstr\u00e4ger: Du nicht, aber sie kommt dahin, wo Du gerne w\u00e4rst \u2026\u201c<br \/>\nau\u00dferdem waren in Vitrinen Objekte zu sehen, die dem Projekt Drift anh\u00e4ngen: Kleinskulpturen, die Insel-Denkfiguren visualisieren, wie etwa eine kleine ausges\u00e4gte Fl\u00e4che von der Form Islands, die mit einem Au\u00dfenbordmotor versehen ist, auch ein ma\u00dfst\u00e4blich verkleinertes Flo\u00df mit einem Stuhl obendrauf montiert: \u201e.mit Flo\u00df und Stuhl auf hoher See. \u2026 und ein GPS The director of the Malfabrik always produces art systematically, in many variations, which his catalogue of ideas Malfabrik offers him. This \"product catalogue\" of pictorial inventions contains all kinds of pictures that have been pre-designed since 1993 and can be formulated into new blocks of work. The system Malfabrik contains what was and is important for Konstantin Voit to be processed as a thought and transported into a work of art.<\/p>\n<p>It covers essential questions of art history as well as what is perceived as special; films, books, found and sought-after items. All of them are available form data of the existing world. These are in turn directly related to the person of the artist.
